In business for 4 years, MaKayla, the owner, has taken her business from nothing to a full roster of repeat clients. We worked with MaKayla several years ago to create the logo design for Wonder Wax Studio, and now she is ready to scale up and put her business in her own online space. We created her website expanding on elements and branding we started on her logo.

The Challenge
Wonder Wax was ready to stand on its own.
Since the beginning of her business, Wonder Wax has been situated inside a spa, offering complimentary services as a mutually beneficial relationship. MaKayla felt it was time to branch out and scale up her business and was looking for her own retail space and a website to showcase her future team and services. We wanted to make sure that she would shine in comparison to the pretty full market of waxing around.
The Approach
Create a fun, engaging website with the focus on empowering women to feel confident in their own skin.
This was the goal: to show women living confident and full lives, never worrying about any embarrassing out-of-place hair. MaKayla had already created a culture of fun and confidence building; we were just showing it to the world.
The Result
A platform that will continue to market her business and attract their target audience.
Interaction and movement was also a big component to the overall look and feel of the website. We made sure it was simple but lively, bringing a good energy to the users. This was done with simple float-in animations along with fun doodles and arrows moving around as you interact with the site.
